Black Men: ‘I’m Tired of Feeling Like Someone’s Enemy’ – The Root

As the mother of a young, black man and as a black woman, brothers I feel your pain. I’m writing to those who do everything they can to live as good fathers, husbands, sons, and grandsons. Those who work for what they have, do without when they don’t have and are willing to work harder for better. Those who seek to live decent lives and be good neighbors to their fellow men…yet still struggle to live in peace with those who don’t get it — life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is available to all in America, including black men.

Don’t give up brothers. Faith in God will give us strength and wisdom to deal with injustice, together.
